Large Panorama view by French painter Gaston L. Prost.

The entire play of colors from deep blue to a translucent sea green, offering the viewer. The reflections are rich in effect. The left view goes in direction of Sainte-Maxime, the right view into the soft evening glow on the horizon.

Gaston Prost exhibited since 1900 in the Salon des Artistes Français. Repeatedly, he was awarded with medals. Through his considerable skills as a lithographer, he became an honorary member of the salon and called into the jury for printmaking.

Various vistas of Paris are known. But he must have lived a long time in Provence, as the motives of his landscape paintings are from about 1920 northern Vaucluse in Provence and the Côte d'Azur. Stylistically, his works are marked from a post-impressionistic view.
